BIS Quality Control Amendment Order For Derby shoes, IS 17043: 2018

Following the rules in IS 17043:2018, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has made the Quality Control Order (QCO) for Derby shoes. Starting on August 1, 2024, this order says that all Derby shoes made or brought into India must meet the given Indian Standard. BIS rules say that manufacturers must get certification and put the Standard Mark on their goods. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are exempt, and stock that isn't compliant can be sold until June 30, 2025, as long as it is declared.
