Dear Viewer,
IS 17569:2021 sets the rules for the BIS Quality Control Amendment Order, which is about insulated cases made for storing food at home. These containers are necessary to keep food at the right temperature, which keeps it fresh and safe. Following Indian Standards for quality control and customer safety is required by the order.
Based on IS 17569:2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has put out a new Quality Control Order (QCO) for Insulated Containers for Food Storage. As of March 5, 2024, this order makes sure that all of these crates meet Indian Standards, which guarantees quality and safety. Small and Micro Enterprises have a grace period of six and nine months, respectively, from the publication date for compliance. The Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 includes penalties for not following the rules
