Dear Viewer,
Leather safety shoes with a direct-molded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bottom that meet the standards of IS 14544:1998 provide strong security in dangerous and industrial settings. With a strong PVC bottom and high-quality leather upper, these safety shoes keep workers safe and comfortable. Withstanding tough conditions, they meet strict quality standards to offer dependable defense against a range of job dangers.
Under IS 14544:1998 the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has changed the Quality Control Order (QCO) for safety shoes made of leather that have a direct-molded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bottom. As of August 1, 2024, all of these shoes must meet the requirements of IS 14544:1998 and have the Standard Mark as described in Scheme-I of the BIS Regulations. The goal of this change is to improve product quality and make sure that workers in industry settings are safe and reliable. Manufacturers who are BIS-certified or who are looking for certification can keep selling current stock until June 30, 2025, as long as they announce it before the order starts.
