IT SPECIFICALLY PERTAINS TO THE BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS QUALITY CONTROL AMENDMENT ORDER FOR THE PALM FATTY ACIDS

The Central Government, using powers from the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, decided to amend the Palm Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Order, 2022, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards. This amendment, titled the Palm Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023, becomes effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette. In simple terms, the order regulates the quality of palm fatty acids for public welfare.
It officially starts working on the date when it gets published in the Official Gazette. The specific change in the BIS (quality control) amendment order for the palm fatty acids, 2022, is in paragraph 1, where the previous sub-paragraph (2) is replaced with a new one, stating that the order takes effect on April 24, 2024. This adjustment is crucial for ensuring that the standards and quality of palm fatty acids meet the necessary requirements, emphasizing the government's commitment to the well-being and safety of the public regarding these products.
