Important information on the amendment order for the Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys (Quality Control) Order, 2023 has been updated and is applicable to all current licence holders, new applicants, producers, importers, and product dealers.

OVERVIEW

31ST AUGUST 2024

The government in New Delhi, on November 30, 2023, has decided to change the rules about checking the quality of Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys. This change is named the "Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023." It will start working from the day it gets officially published. The government believes this is needed for the public's benefit, and they asked the Bureau of Indian Standards for advice before deciding. The specific date when these changes will take effect is June 1, 2024. This decision is based on the authority given by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
