Dear Viewer,
UPDATE FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (DEPARTMENT FOR PROMOTION OF INDUSTRY AND INTERNAL TRADE)
Important to Indian Standard applicable to all current license holders, new applicants, manufacturers, importers, and product sellers for steel wires or strands, nylon or wire ropes, and wire mesh (braided nylon ropes for mountaineering purposes) (Quality Control) Order, 2023ред
21st NOVEMBER 2023
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, working through the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, has made some simple rules to ensure that certain steel products are of good quality. These rules are based on the law called the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016. The rules are named "BIS QCO for the Steel Wires or Strands, Nylon or Wire Ropes and Wire Mesh (Quality Control) Order, 2023." They start working six months after being officially announced. Products listed in a table must meet specific Indian standards mentioned in the same table. They must have a special mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per certain regulations.
But, these rules don't apply to goods made in our country if they are meant for export. For smaller businesses called micro-enterprises, these rules start one year after the announcement.
A bit larger businesses known as small enterprises, start nine months after the announcement. The Bureau of Indian Standards is the organization responsible for making sure the goods listed in the table meet the standards. If someone doesn't follow these rules, they might get in trouble under the law called the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
"BIS QCO for the Steel Wires or Strands, Nylon or Wire Ropes, and Wire Mesh Order emphasizes adherence to stringent quality standards, ensuring these hinges meet specified Indian Standards. Compliance with "BIS QCO for the Steel Wires or Strands, Nylon or Wire Ropes, and Wire Mesh Order is essential to avoid penalties under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
