Important information on the Indian Standard for the Toluene Second Amendment (Quality Control) Order, 2023 that applies to all current licence holders, new applicants, producers, importers, and product dealers is provided.

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, through an order dated December 19, 2023, has modified the Toluene (Quality Control) Order, 2021, under the powers granted by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016. This amendment, known as the "Toluene (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2023," takes effect on the day it is published in the Official Gazette. Specifically, the change is related to paragraph 1 of the 2021 order, where sub-paragraph (2) now states that the provisions will be enforceable from December 22, 2024.
