6.As outlined in IS 1387:1967, the general material supply requirements must also be met.
7.Material testing is obligatory to confirm compliance with the standards.
8.Products with a diameter exceeding 50 mm or an equivalent cross-sectional area must be marked by stamping or painting with the manufacturer's name or trademark, grade, and cast number at the extreme end.
9.Optionally, the material may also bear a standard mark, commonly known as the ISI mark.
10.It is essential for the manufacturer to secure a BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) license to employ the standard mark (ISI Mark).
