Introduction
PPE protective footwear is special shoes made to keep workers' feet safe in their jobs. They protect against things like heavy stuff falling on the feet, electricity, sharp objects, and harmful chemicals. These shoes are super strong and built to last in tough work conditions. There are different types of protective footwear for different jobs. Some have steel in the toes to stop heavy things from hurting the feet, while others protect against electricity or chemicals. These shoes are made to be comfortable too, so workers can wear them for a long time without hurting their feet.
IS 15298(Part 3):2019 is a set of rules that tells us how protective footwear should be. This footwear is made with special caps at the front to keep your toes safe from accidents. It can handle a lot of force, like at least 100 joules of energy and a compression force of at least 10 kilonewtons, without letting your feet get hurt. So, these rules make sure the shoes are strong enough to protect your toes from heavy things falling on them or pressing down on them.
