BIS CERTIFICATION FOR SAFTY GLASS IS 2553 (PART 1): 2018

Product Description

BIS CERTIFICATION FOR SAFTY GLASS IS 2553 (PART 1): 2018

INTRODUCTION

Safety glass is a type of glass that is more resistant to breakage and shattering compared to normal glasses. It is used in areas where the risk of glass breakage remains high, such as windows, doors, shower enclosures, glass partitions, and glass facades of buildings. The specialty of safety glass includes that upon breakage, it tends to break into small, rounded pieces and remains held together by an interlayer, which helps reduce the chance of severe injuries from sharp glass fragments. There are four types of safety glass as follows:

·       Toughened Safety (tempered) Glass (TS)

·       Toughened-Float Safety Glass (TF)

·       Laminated Safety Glass (LS)

·       Laminated Float Safety Glass (LF)
