REQUIREMENTS FOR WHITE PORTLAND CEMENT

1.     While Portland cement shall be produced by intimately grinding Portland cement clinker with an appropriate proportion of natural or chemical gypsum to produce cement capable of meeting this standard.

2.     At the time of grinding, no material other than gypsum or water or both, and not more than one percent of air-entraining agents shall be added.

3.     When tested according to the methods specified, white Portland cement shall meet the chemical and physical requirements specified in the standard.

4.     White Portland cement shall be stored, sampled, tested, and rejected in accordance with lS 269: 1989 for 33 grade ordinary Portland cement.

5.     The manufacturer must ensure that the cement meets the requirements of this standard.

6.     A laboratory shall be adequately maintained, in which the various tests shall be carried out according to the methods specified in the standard.

7.     Packing of White Portland Cement shall be done as per IS 8042:2015.

8.     Labeling and marking shall be done in accordance with IS 8042:2015.
