REQUIREMENTS FOR WHEEL FOR PASSENGER CARS

1.     Wheels with the highest Load Rating for each Material and Wheel Rim Category for each Type of Usage shall be tested to cover the entire range of Wheels for that Material of Wheels.

2.     For the tests, only fully processed new wheels that are representative of the wheels intended for the vehicle will be used, and a single wheel may not be used for more than one test.

3.     A laboratory shall be adequately maintained, in which the various tests shall be carried out according to the methods specified in the standard.

4.     Wheels must be labelled with the manufacturer's name or trademark, as well as the size designation.

5.     All production that complies with the Indian Standard and is covered by the license should bear the Standard Mark (ISI Mark).
