1.     A laboratory shall be adequately maintained, in which the various tests shall be carried out according to the methods specified in the standard.

2.     Wheels and rims must be labeled with the manufacturer's name or trademark, as well as the size designation.

3.     All production that complies with the Indian Standard and is covered by the license should bear the Standard Mark (ISI Mark).

TEST REQUIREMENTS OF IS 9438:2018

1.      Disc wheel dynamic cornering fatigue test: The test shall be performed using one of the methods specified in the standard.

·       Cornering fatigue test (90” loading method)

·       Cornering fatigue test (40” loading method)

·       Cornering fatigue test (two-axis load method)

2.      Disc wheel and demountable rim endurance test under dynamic radial load.
